CT-DRIVE
CT Communications offers a service called the
"CT-Drive" as a FREE add-on to all our Internet
customers.
The CT-Drive provides end users local access to
a remote network drive for storing files.
Network storage provides a safe and secure
storage facility on a network server for
storing text documents, photos, web pages,
spreadsheets and other files. Storing
critical files on the network reduces the risk
or impact of malicious attacks and viruses,
hardware problems, accidental deletion and lost
or damaged equipment.
Our CT-Drive product combines the security of
network storage with the convenience of a local
drive. Once CT-Drive is enabled, the
network drive is accessible from within
applications just like a local drive on your
computer or work station. You can drag
and drop or copy files to or from the network
drive server, and can manipulate files using
Windows Explorer or DOS commands.
CT-Drive allows secure SFTP transfer (Windows
NT, 2000 & XP Operating Systems), storage
and access for these files without having to
learn a new application. Users can set up
CT-Drive to automatically connect on start-up
so that the drive is always accessible.
Simply type in your username and password when
initializing the program and CT-Drive will be
there when you need access. In addition, CT's
24-hour help desk is available at 484-0999 to
assist you in setting things up.
The free CT-Drive that CT offers is 5 MB in
size. Secure online storage space ranging from
500 MB up to 10 GB is available for an
additional fee.
